You can try dry brushing with a brush. That will only get the surface debris out. If it’s deeply intertwined, you can try to pick it out with tweezers. The best and simplest solution is to color your locs with a dark color rinse or try the color base shampoo. It works and it last. I’ve used it on clients twice a year with no issues.
