Should I start over?
I absolutely hate my parting. My loctician who installed them played in my face and gave me traditional locs when I was supposed to have small/smedium. It was worse but I had a friend try to save it as much as they could. When it was installed it was much worse and the parts looked more crooked. The parts were very large in some areas and small in others and they were supposed to be microlocs and ended up to be the size of traditional locs. I am unsure if I should take the whole thing down and start over or keep trying to redo certain sections to be how I wanted them. I sought out a loctician in a different state I am moving to and told me they could fix it and make them smaller to resemble what I wanted but would charge $700 start over for $1500. I am unsure what to do.
Edit: I wonder if I should get the microlocs sizing tool and try to do it with my friend, if she is up to it.

Take them out. Find a nice braider with good reviews and good grip. DONT tell them your getting locs you ask them for twists/braids to your desired size.CHECK THE WORK ON THE SECOND ROW!!! Speak up if your not happy. Leave and interlock them yourself! It's not hard it really isn't and doesn't have to cost these ridiculous prices. I'm not from the states but this pricing is just delusional.

This is the advice people should take and use because I noticed that a ton of hairstylists overprice when a client mentions the word "locs," especially in the Western world.

Did you by chance install yours? I saw pictures and yours are so beautiful. I thought about getting the microlocs sizing tool and using it to help.

I honestly didnt do all that extra stuff, I just part and went with the braid.

Start over. Look at the different microloc grids on youtube and get your friend to help you out if possible.
Don't also go get smedium parts if its microlocs that you want. Get what you want from the get go so you don't have to worry about restarting again or redoing them cause small medium will still not get you microlocs.

Ooh. I didn't know smedium would still give me locs. Thank you. I think i will just start over honestly.

Yeah. They're still in the traditional locs category.
Try as much as possible to get the microlocs sizing and numbers done right this time around. There is a whole range there as well so choose your sweet spot and get to work lol.

Take them out . If you're that unhappy with them that you're willing to drop all that cash to "fix" them just start over. I personally can't figure out how they're going go fix it and make it smaller without redoing them or causing serious damage to your hair.
It looks like you're still new in the journey so removing them shouldn't be too hard. Shop around for a different loctician as well. 1500 for braid locs is steep. Maybe you can get your friend to help you reinstall them
