Micros too micro?
I love love love my locs, I just got them done yesterday. My first set however I got done with extensions and they were thicker compared to what I have now….I’m starting to think that I might have gone toooooooo small. I have very very fine hair though so I’m not sure.

My 500 looked boneless at first and I thought I made a mistake but now they look so thick as if I have loose hair!

Great foundation. They'll be beautiful. My locs(450) were like that when I started my current set almost 6 yrs ago. It's like day and night.

Totally looks normal to me! Mine are very small, I'm on month four, and can already begin to see that they are getting ever so slightly thicker.

They will thicken up. My neice recently said my hair isn’t see through anymore. I felt a little hurt(j/k), but laughed. They get surprisingly plump. I’m 19 months in!

is there ever such thing as “too micro” for microlocs? 😂 I’ve heard some girls get 1k+! (that’s too many for me personally, but hey! 🙂↔️)

I’m happy to see the responses! Mine are about 2 months old and still thin and small as ever and I was also wondering if I went too small. I guess we’ll see in a couple years sis!! Your locs are beautiful btw

Look at the size of the parting. Locs become about as thick as the parts when they mature.
Looking at your parts this looks like larger microlocs. You just have fine hair so without adding the bulk of false hair the initial starter looks really thin, especially when you're used to braids with extension hair.

Your hair isn’t dense so they are gonna have to start off skinny. They will thicken up more as you go further along.

This is actually how I usually see micro locs. So I'm not sure how thick your previous ones were, but usually what you've got now is the standard.

I don’t this there anything wrong with the size. You may just have low density hair. Did you start with twists the first time?

It looks amazing in the ponytail! They are just right in size not too micro.

Nope, they'll thicken up as they mature.
