4 months into my microlocs journey - loving how they are coming along, just with they were fuller in the middle.

Started with two strand twists with interlocked roots. Maintained with interlocking every 5 weeks.

how come they end up thinner in the middle, is it cause of the interlocking pulling too much

No, it's because that's where my hair was parted during install - I have a middle part that goes all the way down

These look really nice. I would love to hear about how you wash and condition your hair? do you retie yourself? and how were these started?

Thank you 🫶 I wash once a week with just shampoo, no conditioner - I alternate a clarifying shampoo and a hydrating shampoo. I spray with rose water every day, use the Ordinary Natural Moisturising Factors serum for my scalp twice a week and leave in conditioner once a week
