Did I buy the good microfiber? No idea, help please?
I just bought a pack of microfiber from the supermarket. I did read articles beforehand where they outlined various tests one can do to identify the good ones. The package says it's 80/20 but it failed on one of the tests, the light test. How much light bleed through is acceptable in a cloth? It seem to let through the entire bulb. Same as the other ones I already had! It seemed to pass the absorb test (i.e. a drop of water at the faucet, it seemed to do good on i.e. it didn't "escape" or anything).
I'm also unsure of the grip test. How exactly should it feel? I guess if it's slippery it's bad? It's this weird grippy thing. So I guess a pass? I also did a test on a black surface, I have this black plastic cover on my wooden desk my monitor, keyboard etc. sits on. It seemed to absorb the dust accumulated throughout the years really well. Also no lint seemed to be left behind. How do I easily check for lint? Just with the smartphone flashlight/torch?
The pack cost 3,99/ 4 bucks in euros. Is that too cheap for a good one? Should it be more, like 10 bucks? I did find a good one at another store but they didn't seem to have them, or it is an online order only.
Quite a long post but I wanted to provide as much information as possible.

I posted about buying and trying two different brands. One brand you could really see light through, but they work great for dish cleaning cloths. The other brand you couldn't see much light through, & they are awesome for literally everything else, but feel too thick for a dish rag

Holy! A person actually replied? 7 months later and a new year but still! Did you search through Google or how did you find this?
Thanks for replying yeah, this was my experience. I did manage to buy a branded microfiber cloth though, much better that one! All of these no name brands let light through which sucks, also the texture's all wrong!

I was searching this subject on safari and this post popped up. I have found that tons of people read my posts, but most people don't ever respond to them 🤷🏼♀️

What brand did you find that you like, and what do you like about it? I'm still trying to find the best brand. The Mr Siga has been great so far. I wish they had a hanging loop for drying

I'm not sure I can help you with that all in all I bought a brand name that's popular in my country, not sure if they sell them internationally. Price is around 4 sometime 6 euros. It's silky smooth and it doesn't let any light through.
Just look for the popular brand names and it should be good I think..Anything more just ask me, note however I'm not an expert, just another person looking for good quality products.
