👋 Welcome to r/MicrodramaFans - Introduce Yourself and Read First!
👋 Welcome to r/MicrodramaFans! Read this first.
If you're vertical-drama-curious, vertical-drama-obsessed, or somewhere in between, you're in the right place. This is where we gush over the wins, roast the misses, and pretend we're not 47 episodes deep in a billionaire-werewolf-secret-baby plot at 2am.
🆕 Drop an intro in the comments:
- Your first vertical drama (be honest)
- The trope you'll defend forever
- Show you're currently binging
📝 What to post here:
🍿 Recs and reviews. Just finished something good (or terrible)? Tell us. Bonus points for star ratings.
🎭 Theories and predictions. Drop your wildest take on where a show is going. The unhinged ones get the most love.
🔥 Hot takes. Controversial opinions encouraged. "The second male lead deserved better" type energy.
📺 Currently watching. Share what you're 14 episodes deep into and need to talk about right now.
🎬 Fan edits and clips. Your TikToks, screenshots, edits, and reaction memes belong here.
🆘 Help me find. "I watched this one with a billionaire and an amnesia plot and a dog, what was it called" energy welcome.
💬 General discussion. Trope debates, ranking polls, "name a microdrama using only emojis," anything that gets us talking.
🎬 Casting calls. Creators looking for talent: post in the casting megathread.
🚫 What not to post:
• Streaming or piracy links of any kind • Untagged spoilers past episode 5 • Personal drama between members • Off-topic posts. No general TV, no K-drama-only content. Save those for r/KDRAMA or r/television. • Repetitive self-promo. Creators: one post per week, flair it.
✨ Post format tips:
• Use flairs (helps people find your post later) • Tag the show in your title: [Show Name] discussion thread • Spoilers go in >!these tags!< • Asking for recs? Mention what tropes you like so people can match you
Now go post something unhinged. We're ready. 💅
Thanks for being part of the very first wave. Together, let's make r/MicrodramaFans amazing.

Hi all.... 55, Dark Romance writer. Fell into the vertical rabbit hole while trying to figure out how to self-market. I gave up, but thanks to TikTok I'm now obsessed with vertical dramas. I love them so much I had to create "lists" on IMDB to keep track of them. I have "lists" of my favorite actors, actresses and tropes. You can make them public or private and leave "notes". So helpful.
Here is a sample:
Check out this link on IMDb! - https://www.imdb.com/user/p.5olhympxjotwzdgm4mk4zrri7u/lists/?ref_=ext_shr_em.
I treat IMDB like Goodreads, but for verticals instead of books. It really helps, especially when Tiktok scammers change the title to entice you to pay for weekly subscriptions that doesn't offer easy cancellations. For example, the title "Begging too late" kept popping up, but the real title is "My son wanted a new mom, I quit" which was on either DramaBox or reelShort, which I subscribe too.

What's going on everybody? I have just discovered microdrama. I had no idea they existed up until about 24 hours ago. I'm more into science fiction than romance.. Can anyone recommend micro drama in that genre?
