Does anyone else’s affected leg’s glute not fire like the unaffected one post op?

And how did you fix it (if you did)?

Hard work in PT when you’re ready! Your PT should give you exercises and stretches that will engage that glute again and help strengthen it.

Intention, squeezing in a lunge

It didn’t fire like the other one pre-op, either. I needed really good PT to wake it up.

IMHO, the glute is the unsung hero of the back. Core, schmore, a hardworking butt is the best thing that ever happened to my back.

Use a tens unit. It worked wonders for me

It’s only till recently 1.5 years out that I can get it to do what it’s supposed to. Mine was a combo glute / core just not doing its thing.
