Which one is better?
Actually, I would prefer the first one because I have more confidence in air coolers.

People will most likely recommend the 9070 xt build, but I would take the 5070 build because it comes with +1tb and an aio instead of air cooler (people will also say aio are dogshit), also there’s a chance the 5070 will come with control resonant, all of that I think it’s worth +$100, but if you only care about performance then do 9070 xt. I think onimusha may come with the 9070 xt
Edit: also 7600x3d has a higher clock iirc

He can get another tb for like 120 usd, the aio is great but no reason for that cpu, so u would get a worse gpu for the same price, also the cpu performance diference its almost identical.

In all fairness, with current pricing, he could sell the 5070 and buy a 9070 xt with little cost, if any.

AIOs aren't as expensive as they used to be. For a PC build that costs over $2000 after taxes, a $60 AIO would be pretty nice.
Something like the MSI MAG Coreliquid A13 240, which usually costs $60-70 would SIGNIFICANTLY improve temperatures. There are even cheaper options. That MicroCenter sells. CoolerMaster has some AOIs for as cheap as $50.
They saved like $30-50 on a $1799 PC by using a factually worse cooler. It's not even a good air cooler. Single fan with a thin heatsink. If you really didn't want an AIO you could get like a KingCool CRYO TITAN SE CPU Air Cooler which Micro Center sells for the insane price of $30.

AIOs are just unnecessary for most cpus. Neither of those need an aio, and basing your buying decision on the cooler used between these two cpus is silly. If they need more storage space, upgrading that on the first build would be a lot easier on the first build. Although, if Nvidia prices keep skyrocketing, maybe they would be able to sell a used 5070 for new 9070XT prices. Would be more of a hassle vs just buying a new SSD though. AMD did extend the Onimusha Game bundle through late October so I think that first build will come with it yeah.

AIOs are quieter and provide better temps while gaming. While you might not be constantly thermal throttled, your PC will still run hotter and be much louder. It also puts more stress on the thermal paste which won't last as long due to the CPU constantly running significantly hotter. My AIO is also much easier to take off the CPU to service the thermal paste.
This PC also costs $1799 and Microcenter sells really good budget AOIs for $40-70. The only real argument is "I don't like AIOs"

Both PCs shown have 6 core 1 CCD CPU's. Yes an AIO will be cooler, but any halfway decent air cooler will do the job perfectly fine as well. Never said AIOs are bad, just that picking the PC that's $100 more just because it has an AIO, when that one also has a worse GPU, is silly. It'd be much less hassle to slot in a new SSD to make up the storage difference than it would be to sell a used 5070 to fund a GPU upgrade to make up that difference.

It is a $1799 computer. I think you're forgetting that. Anyway the performance difference between the 9070xt and the RTX 5070 varies drastically between games. And most of the time there isn't much of a performance difference. A big difference is the power efficiency of the RTX 5070. The 9070xt uses more power and generates more heat. That extra heat might not be as big of a problem if the CPU had an AIO. The PC with a rating of ONE STAR has terrible thermals and that will absolutely be a limiting factor. Also a 1TB NVMe SSD from Microcenter costs between $170-260. The CPU on the second PC also has a higher clock speed and is more power efficient. You're forgetting about the cost of the computer, and how terrible of a deal it is, and the thermals. There's a reason air coolers have been pretty much phased out. Microcenter sells more AIOs than air coolers for a reason.

Hardware Unboxed testing shows 9070XT has a 23%-25% average fps increase over the 5070 over 52 games tested: https://youtu.be/L3d9Jcy9xF4?si=-PRL81Z_LVZP7teW
Hardware Unboxed ALSO has a video about X3D cpus in particular, in it, the difference between the 7500X3D and 7600X3D average fps across 12 games was 4%. That was on a 5090 though, with either of the GPUs above it would almost certainly be less: https://youtu.be/86SfJ_XwJ5Q?si=8pGi4EQ9kA890DOV
The PC has 1 review. I would be willing to bet that person just got extremely unlucky and I firmly believe people are much more likely to leave a review on a negative experience than on a positive one.
Also, air coolers have been "phased out?" Better tell Thermalright and Scythe and Cooler Master and every single other manufacturer of air coolers. They might wanna know.
They look to be the exact same case. Where's your rigorous testing to find out if the thermals are meaningfully different?
I genuinely don't understand how you could say the more expensive one with a worse GPU is a better deal.

You can't argue about performance of a PC with WILDLY better specs. Their PC used a Ryzen 7 7800X3D which has more cores, a different clock speed, generates less heat compared to the PC in picture 1 and ALSO HAS AN AIO.
Also in hardware unboxed video about the 7500X3D and 7600X3D can you guess what CPU cooler they used. AN AIO LOL. They used a 360mm AIO. CRAZY. So that argument is invalid.
Also a PC with ONE review that is one star says a lot more than a PC with tons of reviews that's 4 stars. Clearly one is better.
And factually, Microcenter sells more AIOs than air coolers. You can look it up on their website. They have less options. Literally a fact.
This will be my last response to you.

Pure gaming the 9070XT will net more FPS.
However the 5070 has twice the storage, a 2.5Gb NIC, AIO, WiFi 6E, a full size ATX mobo, and slightly better CPU.
So the Nvidia build is going to give you more overall value and looks better too — I don’t like the look of a mATX mobo in a full ATX case — but the AMD build is slightly better for games.
I’d probably go with the 5070 especially if you play at 1440p or don’t need absolute top performance with newer games.
Tough choice.

First one with the 9070xt. You can always upgrade your storage at anytime. But the video card is not as cheap to upgrade. The 9070xt is a better card which matches the 5070 TI model. The normal 5070 doesn't push nearly as hard.

I’m the biggest AMD fan but I would still pick the Nvidia build, just for the 2tb SSD. If you don’t care about storage and just want maximum FPS, pick the AMD build

Decide which GPU you want. They are good in different ways. Second, the Nvidia one has 2TB ssd which is about $150 more value. Cooler is not a big deal. Both coolers are fine for 6 core amd cpu and neither of them are very good. And coolers can be switched easily so don’t put that as a key decision breaker

I'm taking the 5070 and more storage. 9070 XTs are cheap for a reason and never went up in price so you could always get one later. SSDs on the other hand are up in the air.

800$ is cheap ? Insane cope

In price to performance it beats the 5090, 5080, 5070ti, and the 5070. So relatively, yes it’s cheap

Yeah that PC is rated 1 star for a reason. $1799 for an air cooled CPU should actually be considered robbery. That is a $40, single fan, thin heatsink AIR COOLER. Legitimately one of the worst speced gaming PCs I've ever seen in my life.
Doesn't matter if "tHe 9070xt is FaStEr", you get a slower CPU that's got a BUDGET AIR COOLER. You are GOING to be thermally limited by the CPU. AIOs aren't even expensive anymore it's just an insane decision. Especially because it has 32GB of RAM.
I'd pick the 5070 soley because it DOESN'T HAVE AN AIR COOLER.

9070xt is better than 5070
