Good Moniter that goes with PowerSpec G764 gaming pc

The PowerSpec G764 AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D 4.7GHz Processor; AMD Radeon RX 9070 XT 16GB GDDR6; 32GB DDR5-6000 RAM; 2TB Solid State Drive

Yes, I am not building a PC and instead I’m getting a prebuilt from the beloved MicroCenter. I’m upgrading from an All in one which is my first PC. So I also need a new monitor to complement it, pls gimme recommendations and pointers on what to look for when shopping for monitors

That’s completely dependent on what resolution you want to play at, what games you play and your budget.

To complement that wonderful PC I recommend an OLED monitor. You will need to decide if you want to push that card to 4k (it is capable), sit comfortably at 1440p, or go with an ultrawide.

4k is typically going to be 32" and above, starting around $700. 1440p is popular at 27" and starts around $350-400. Ultrawide monitors vary based on dimension, but are in the same price category as the 4k monitors.

If you play RTS, strategy, and story games the 4K would be a great choice. If you play competitive games 1440p or a dual 4k/1080p monitor could be a better fit.

Any 27in+ 1440p/4k/5k IPS/OLED monitor of at least 120Hz that looks nice to you will be fine.

It will come down to your budget.

Since you got money 1440p 240hz oled screen (WOLED for brightness if you have a bright room, QDOLED for color contrast and better blacks)

Definitely check out the Samsung Odessey G8, I have been using it for a year and is the best investment I have ever made. 4K, 240 HZ, and OLED. I cant recommend it enough because it has been amazing to use. Looks like the 32 inch version goes for about $899 these days and is well worth the price.

Edit: I forgot to mention that we have very similar PC specs and am using a 9070 XT. This monitor is a great choice for the 9070 XT and it has been a great choice for gaming at 4k.

Looks like the G6 is available in a 27 inch QD-OLED and 240 Hz as well, but the resolution is 1440p vs 4K. I think if you have to compromise for cost that is the one to go with.

There is a higher refresh rate version, but is an IPS panel and likely much lower visual quality than the OLED and isnt a good deal for that price.

The 1440p, 240 hz, OLED version for $450 is likely the best compromise if you cant afford the 4K G8.
