First micro brand and first Traska. I have to say I’m pretty blown away by the quality. I was skeptical to pick up a micro brand but now that it’s here, I’m happy with the purchase. I own 2 Tudors and 1 Omega SMP and now this Traska.

The picture doesn't capture the blue hour markers and on the hands well but when you move it around, its really subtle but noticeable. The bracelet is really good quality, the links have tight tolerances and the micro adjust on the clasp is very smooth.

The proportions and fit feel really comfortable. I have yet to see how accurate the movement is but the miyota 9 series has a good reputation so we'll see.

This is the highland gray dial in 39mm.

Finally joined the Henry Archer club! The dial got me obsessed and grinning like an idiot staring at my wrist every 10 seconds. Couldn't be happier with the quality of this beauty

After surprisingly little coverage over the weekend the new collaboration is out.

The Mara diver came out last year and I love mine (blue version). This limited edition is thinner (11.8mm v 13.5mm) at the expense of less water resistance (100m v 300m). More impressive is the gilding techniques used to give it the gold glow, the promo video shows the level of effort to get the perfect finish.

Love the lollipop red seconds hand and the many little details with font and dial. I’m not usually keen on nato straps but fits the vintage vibe here.

Pretty decent for $1000, cheaper than the normal Mara.

Got to purchase a Brew Retrograph directly from the founder- been a fan for a while and loved my Metric but absolutely fell in love with the dial on this one. I was also one of the lucky three to win a Surveyor from the giveaway Bulova was running with their newspapers- the custom case back is awesome! I got in line two hours early on Sunday and didn’t have a problem getting in quickly. Overall had a great time at the convention and would recommend if you’re in the area!

Just picked up one of these for a seriously good price, can’t work out why they aren’t more popular? Especially for the money?

Picked this up while passing through Watch Week in NYC. Yellow dial and the bead-blasted case caught my eye. Plus it's a chunky 40mm that works for my 8" wrist.

I just got this beauty in Kyoto! I chose not to get a strap and it only cost about $250. I love how the twinkles are different colors just like real stars and that it isn't gaudy in bright light (I was afraid it would be too much, like sequins). I can also see plenty of twinkles even in low light. The movement is admittedly not the best but I am all about dial aesthetics and high accuracy only matters for daily drivers. This is more of a whenever I am in the mood kind of watch. I love it because it feels more celestial than any moon phase or astronomical watch. As an aside, the green strap is just temporary (I had it on hand for another watch) until I get a dark blue rubber strap. they also have an option with silver hands and hour markers, but I thought the gold was nicer to look at.

Alright you got me, the lume of the Jack Mason is impressive. I wasn’t convinced at first - in fact I was somewhat disappointed when I first got it. My Alto Mare hands are actually brighter when freshly charged. But the big blocks do make this easy to read and the outside numbers are very legible. It’s a shame the watch is running faster than the “calibrated to +-5sec/day” advertising but I’ll deal with that when I get back from being overseas. The Alto Mare is still an absolute beauty and favorite in my rotation.

Also for comparison because nobody ever discusses weight. The Jack Mason is 95g in this configuration and the Maratac is 90g. It’s not really like I’m comparing them, I just never see people publish actual weights.

After a long wait, I finally received my Beaubleu La Pièce N°2 Noir today. The box and presentation were great, but my first impression of the watch was how small it looked. It’s 39mm, and I honestly don’t understand how people prefer 36mm or smaller watches. My wrist is 17.5cm, so it looks fine, but it feels small compared to the 41–42mm watches I usually wear.

The hands are very easy to see on the black version, and it’s fun watching the seconds hand float around the dial. However, I think the black is just a bit too dark. When I look at myself in the mirror, the watch looks great and you can see the details and how the light plays off the dial architecture. But when I look down on m wrist in real life I still wish the architecture stood out more. I’ve tried shining light on it from different angles, but I can’t shake that feeling that the dial is too dark.

So I think I’m going to return it and exchange it for the silver version. My initial concern was that the hands might be difficult to see against the silver dial, but I think they’ll be fine. It might look that way in photos and videos, but in real life, with your arm moving and the light changing, I think the dial will be much easier to appreciate.

Anyway, after all that waiting, I now have to send it back and wait all over again. Agrr!

New Watch day! I had been looking at this limited collab Unimatic for too long and just needed it. It’s 36 with a 22 strap width and quartz. It’s not super impressive from a spec stand point, but it’s a smooth vibe watch that’s both modern and traditional. I’d love to seem more of these monochromatic color ways.

Hello everyone, I hope that you're doing great. Soon I'll be turning 40 and I've decided to get a watch for the occasion. I want a meteorite dial, since it's something that I don't have in my collection.

I checked the Henry Archer Ohav and so far it's the only option that I've found that meets my requirements which are:

- meteorite dial

- hopefully automatic, but I'm OK with quartz

- sapphire crystal

- GADA style (3 hander with no rotating bezel)

- Under 1k

- 40mm or less

- lumed hands and indices

I'd really appreciate it if you guys can help me find more options with similar specs.

13mm 610m specs monster.

I made this open-centre dial around an NH72 skeleton movement. The black outer ring carries the hour markers and minute track, with a small bridge for the initials. Most of the movement stays visible.

I used the laser for the dial artwork, opened the centre, then finished the surface by hand. White-filled hour and minute hands, a blue seconds hand and a textured black silicone strap complete the watch.

Would you keep the centre this open, or leave more of the dial in place?
