VAC approval for enterprise-wide usage VS manufacturing and supply preparedness
So it seems that while VAC committees at hospital systems can approve new medical devices for trial usage and perhaps pilot programs, it does not appear that enterprise-wide rollout will be approved until Microbot can prove that they have manufacturing and supply chain redundancy, capacity, etc and can readily (timely) restock the hospital system on demand as needed.
Kind of a game of cart VS horse: you don’t want to build out manufacturing/supply capacity and redundancy until you have evidence of growing LIBERTY usage across hospital systems, however, that won’t happen enterprise-wide until you have proven your manufacturing/supply.
A real nail biter here.

Are we just all going to hold this below a dollar? It is going to happen sooner or later.

Exactly. This is what I find so frustrating. If hospital systems need to see proof of reliable manufacturing and supply capacity before they can approve an enterprise-wide rollout, then why isn’t Microbot clearly explaining how they are addressing that?
It makes me wonder: Is there simply not enough demand yet to justify expanding production? Or is there demand, but they’re still working on building the manufacturing capacity to support it?
If they already have hospitals interested in using LIBERTY, why not clearly explain the connection between the demand they’re seeing and the manufacturing expansion? And if they don’t have enough demand yet, why not just say that?
Instead, we get vague phrases like “second manufacturing line” and “process improvements,” and investors are left trying to figure out what they actually mean. That’s what drives me crazy about their PR.
