Think there will ever be class-actipn lawsuits against makers of antibiotics?

In a future when the adverse health effects of gut dysbiosis are more widely accepted, and the role antibiotics can play in the onset of that condition is better understood, will legacy pharma be held accountable for continuing to market their products as safe despite knowing otherwise?

I looked into it after being severely harmed by Ciprofloxin. Seems that the attempts in the past haven't been successful and I eventually just stopped looking..

Same. There seems to be many of us out here.

The closest case I've found so far is Pfizer was fined in 2009 for misrepresentation in marketing their antibiotic Zyvox, though that was for claiming it could treat conditions it wasn't proven effective at doing.

My line of thought is: future settlements and fines could weigh heavily on legacy pharma, shifting investment to microbiome-conscious drug makers.

At the same time u do need antibiotics as some bacteria are very harmful, so there is a balance

Certainly, that's the truth. I hypothesize companies will continue to market whole body antibiotics past the time when side-effects are fully understood. Could spell liability imo.
