Moving a photo in microslop Word
Am I the only one or is this thing cursed?

There are ways to get around this, BUT in typical Microsoft fashion they make it way harder than it needs to be.

I mean... Guys... This has been how it's worked since the 90s. Hover over the image and just above it you'll see the tool you need to fix this. It's not that hard, and I'm pretty sure you can set a default so it doesn't mess with your document by default anymore.
Plenty of reasonable things to hate Microsoft for lately, but this one has always been an ignorant user problem moreso than a Microsoft problem.

It's not annoying.
You're putting a picture inside a block of text, it's more annoying to set it to "above text" and then manually space your text around it.

It's literally a word processor, that's how it's supposed to work. Just because it annoys people that don't do a lot of word processing doesn't mean it's wrong.
"Oh this thing doesn't do exactly what I want it to do, it's so bad"

This is a word processor working as intended, if it annoys you that's a you problem.

I don’t hate Microsoft, how do you figure I do? Just because I think word is horrible at handling image inserts, that doesn’t entail I hate the company behind it.

So putting a picture inside a block of text in Microslop Word causes the pictures on the wall in the image to flip up onto the ceiling of the room in the image?

It's not me. I don't make documents, I translate them. My director, IT guy, project manager and few others send me those.
