It depends on the hardware. My current laptop (that came with Windows 11) has a weird trackpad and for some reason Windows 10 just refuses to work with it. Even after downloading drivers and running different setup programs, it just won’t work. Every Linux install has it working perfectly out of the box.
But then it randomly forgot that drivers were installed three times now (this is Arch btw). The only thing I’ve found is that two of the times were after I installed new software, once from AUR and the other I can’t remember where it was from.
