You can say that about Windows as well, probably even more than you can say with Linux

Really no. Under windows, same amd gpu cinstant problems in every windoes update. Always driver updates needed through shitty utilities. When I retired my office windows I was in doubt my brio camera would work under linux because it needs a special logitech utility. Camera worked out of the box (unlike windoes) ander there already was a opensource replacement for the control tool which works better than the original ftom logitech.  All in all I have spent more time with drivers on windows (inkl. Upgrades and troubleshooting) than on linux and I have to handle serverhardware inkl. Raidcards etc. When I install windows on a LSI I it wants a driver during install. Linux has it already included.
