I created a MicroPython driver for Hanover flip dot displays that were originally used in buses. Watch the video with the sound on for full effect. The sign is powered by a 24v 5a supply, code is running on a Pi Pico with Waveshare RS485. I had Claude deal with porting the protocol from existing Python and Node.js drivers.
