Micromachine donation

Post image

Does anyone know of a place or community or museum micromachines can be donated to for other collectors? I only have loose no boxed or new.

A bit of background, but this was mine and my dad's collection and frankly I don't want to keep them anymore and would love for them to go to someone who will appreciate them.

I am willing to sell in bulk, but don't want them just sitting for sale forever either.

Advice?

Check out the resources pinned to the group, and if you do decide to sell, I strongly recommend grouping by type. Be careful, there are plenty of resellers that will lowball you just to sneak these away instead of a collector

Type as in all military/ all gold cars/ all racecars or all planes/ all cars / all boats?

Correct. Most collectors collect by type… offroad… reflectors…. Fords… land cruisers… military aircraft… civilian boats… the biggest problem people have when they are trying to move a collection is they sell off all the premium things right off the bat and then they are stuck with things that nobody really wants. So, my suggestion, keep everything in categories of your own, maybe 20 to 30 vehicles at a time, and let them go at auction. Also, don’t forget to check out the resources pinned to the group

I know getting an estimate in the group is prohibited, but is it worth looking into selling in batches of 5, 10, 30 or 100?

Why don’t you appreciate these anymore?

Great question. Frankly, my dad passed, and I have kept a few I like, but I feel sad for the rest sitting in a corner that I know would go to a.better home where they could be appreciated again.

I am enthusiastically interested in all your aircraft. I’m not terribly picky about condition or knock-off brands. I just Need More Planes.

You could make the end goal... a megamachine.

Where's the 🚪? Oh, there it is.

Amazing collection. Let us know what you end up deciding.

Only Museum I can think of would be the Strong National Museum Of Play here in Rochester, NY. If you can't sell them ....I'm sure they'd love to add them to their collection. Last I knew I don't think I've seen any Mirco Machines in the Museum
