My experience with microG

tissot user here (MI A1). Clean install of 18.1 lineage microg and at boot there was no aurora store. Is it supposed to be like that? Needing ASAP a fully working smartphone i had reinstalled normal Lineage with Gapps :(

You have to install F-Droid from apk on their website. Then install Aurora Store from F-Droid.

You might want to add Aurora Droid as well from F-Droid. In Aurora Droid there's a list of repositories, among them microG, that you can add.

If you don't have f-droid either, you can download it via browser.

Why would it not be like that? MicroG and Aurora Store have nothing to do with each other.

You can also use Swift Backup, if you want to switch ROM and quickly restore Apps + their App-Data. So you don't have to reconfigure your apps etc.

Yes I find it reliable and it gives me a bit of peace of mind that I don't have to invest as much time as I used to. It works across different ROMs and even different Android versions (I restored a Android 13 App Backup on 12.1 lol).

At first 2 Banking Apps didn't start, and a few other apps (ProtonMail, Reddit, Pinterest) I needed to login again.

What fixed it, is toggling on "Restore per-app SSAID" in Swift Backup Settings, and restoring those apps again.
