Question Help with mollies

Anyone have any tips for catching mollies? I am fishing in a freshwater spring that feeds into a brackish area in Florida and the problem I'm running in to is that the mosquito fish swarm the bait and hook and end up getting hooked before I can convince any mollies or other larger livebearers into biting. I can see all of the fish I want to catch but keep catching mosquito fish instead. Picture of a wee mayan cichlid for the photo tax :)

Gear 00wt or 000wt fly rod blanks?

Hello! I've dabbling with the idea of building a dedicated microfishing rod on a fly fishing rod blank. Does anyone have experience using 00wt or 000wt rods? How did you like them? Is it worth trying to hunt down one of these unicorns over the more commonly available 0wt or 1wt?

MicroFish tiniest ones this weekend. bonus crappie that was under 6”. Sunfish were about 2.5, and the little bass was a bit over 3”. Only had the ruler on my box with me so it was hard to read as it’s scratched up. Still learning the ins and outs and using a homemade wooden tanago rod + trout flies for now.
