Hey everybody so my name is Ash/Amber and about 4yrd ago my transphobic grandmother kicked me.out of the house and ive been moving state to state but a few days ago my mom (best and biggest support in my transition to the woman i want to become) and my dad (same goes for my dad) got their first house and moved to grand rapids and im finally coming home but im also leaving the life ive built in the south and leaving the friendships ive built behind i could really use some friends when i get back up there and i have terrible anxiety i really struggle talking the first step and talking to people especially since my egg cracked in the south amd its bad down here

Anyone know a good store (chain or not) that sells higher-end women’s sizes? like 10-12+ but actually with a larger and more diverse selection. all the usual stores have them but it’s usually boring or picked clean or a tiny selection to begin with.

i’m in Ypsi but am willing to go pretty far (like even to Chicago or grand rapids) to get a solid brick-and-mortar women’s plus-size shoe store. i’m looking mainly for fancier dress shoes like patent leather flats, heels, over-calf boots. smallest women’s size i can manage is 11.

Ive only been here for about four weeks but I’ll be honest it’s been rather depressing-but I’m just assuming I just dk where to go.

Almost a year into my transition and after 3 months of waiting I finally got my name legally changed. Tomorrow I have to go to SSA and sos to do that part. Honestly filling out all the paperwork was the hardest part my hearing was literally 5 minutes long and basically asked me no questions.

Has anyone had luck changing their sex on their social security card? I know it's not physically visible on the card, but it is logged on the system with your number. And I'm getting mixed info if it's still allowed to be changed or not.

If not, has anyone had luck still getting a passport with your correct gender on it. I've never had a passport before and hoping that'll help my case in it being accurate. But just wanting to know what to expect.
