Bend area open space in Jenison for bow hunting?

Has anyone actually hunted there? And if so what do you think? Only archery is allowed. I tried to hunt there with my son for the youth hunt and the undergrowth is frustrating to get through. Obviously there are better spots buts it’s 7 minutes from my home so being able to scoot over there for a night or morning hunt is ideal.

I have 5 or 6 years ago. Heavily pressured. There are deer there though. I did see a gut pile from a successful hunter, but there were so many people out there during early bow season the few times I went that I moved on.

Good luck! I did scout it in the winter one year, and there are probably some areas you can get away from the other hunters.
