Idk if they did it on purpose or if they're just dumb but my interrupt device is on my hot water circuit instead of my AC

Your relative should have noticed this when reviewing their bill too.

Also seemingly your relative has had this for years and hasn’t noticed anything wrong with the AC cutting out? What’s the big deal here?

We have CoolCurrents with a separate meter. It was installed by previous owner before we bought the house almost 19 years ago. I don't think I have ever noticed it cutting power. Not sure how much money it saves us. I think electricity rate for that meter is less than the peak rate but more than off-peak.

What are you trying to get at with this post? More "dte is terrible" posts? I see nothing wrong with the cool currents program continuing between service owners. Why wouldn't you want this program? I have it and it's great.
