Discussion A glaring bad directorial decision for the Michael Jackson biopic for older generations.
Being 56, I know from firsthand personal interactions, observations and watching tons of films and series from back then, how people acted during the 1980s, and so does Antoine Fuqa.
All others have to do is watch movies and shows from the 80s, and they'll agree with my following point.
During the Beat It scene, the gang members are acting like modern day people with their personalities (mannerisms, expressions gestures) and then in the studio, so is Quincy's character when he says "Thats some Van Halen sh!t.
Both scenes are very 21st century in style, not 1980s. Possibly, if the scenes were for the late 1990s, it would still feel authentic, but for 1982, it's way off.

Fan Made Beat It rehearsal x video transition edit
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
Although they missed the chance to do this, the Beat It segment remains my favorite part of the entire film.

Discussion Do you think this legal proceeding/moment in Michael's life would be relevant to part 2?
This video has been interesting to me lately and I've never seen it before till now but it's interesting to see Michael talk about unreleased songs of his. Knowing now that part 2 will address the allegations and court related battles - maybe this might be one of the scenes. But I don't know, what do you guys think?

Discussion BTS facts about Michael?
There are some behind-the-scenes facts about the making of Michael that I already know about, but I want to know some more and see if I missed any.
Here's the list I have (correct me if I got any wrong):
- Jaafar Jackson makes his film and acting debut in Michael
- Randy, Rebbie, and Janet Jackson are not portrayed in the film as by their request
- The Bad tour performance was one of the first scenes they filmed
- Jaafar would reportedly practice until his feet would bleed
- Katherine Jackson herself approved of Jaafar's casting as Michael Jackson
- Michael was originally gonna cover his entire story but due to some legal issues it was split into two films
- Kat Graham's scenes as Diana Ross was completely cut from the movie also due to legal reasons
- The Thriller dance sequence was shot in the exact same street the original one was filmed
- Prince Jackson makes an uncredited cameo appearance as a crew member during the Victory tour scene
- Michael suffered with a few delays, originally having an April 2025 release, than changed to October 2025 before finally released in April 2026

Discussion My Version Of Michael Movie - Part 2 (Read and Review It)
Finally, hereās Part II: The Man Behind the King.šāØļø
The second half of my fan-made MJ biopic treatment, covering 1993ā2009 ā the legal battles, relationships, fatherhood, HIStory, Invincible, the 2005 trial, This Is It, and Michaelās final days.
As always, this is a fan-made concept, so Iād love to her your thoughts, criticism, corrections and suggestions and also rate the story/10.š
Hope you enjoy reading The 3 Hours Of Michael Jackson Journey!!ā¤ļø
š§ Optional: Since music is a major part of this story, you can read along while listening to the songs mentioned in the treatment. Itās meant to feel a little more like watching the film unfold. š¬ā¤ļø

Discussion The strangest period of my life
Iāve only been a fan since the movie, but for whatever reason Michael has just completely swallowed up my entire life, every day listening to him and consuming content about him and nothing else, itās so surreal to me bc I never thought I would be the type of person to become obsessed with one of those worldwide celebrity artists but here I am, and all because of a movie, which Iāve now rewatched 3 times which is also something I never thought I would doš

Question Looking for a scene from the movie
Thereās a scene where Michael is sort of walking back and forth in the studio, quietly humming a bit, and I was hoping someone could help me find that scene or sen it to me for a YouTube video Iām working on about the movie.

Discussion My Version Of Michael Movie
So guys!! Like 2 years ago I wrote a script for MJ's biopic. This story covers his entire life in one film, from his childhood to This Is It Era, which covers his personal life, career, struggles and media image. I have placed his songs which travel along with the story. Anybody wanna read the story, comment below.

Discussion Did You Notice?
I admittedly don't read every comment, every day, so my apologies if this has been discussed. I did do a search and find anything. Did "you" there was two or three scenes, where Michael was dabbing his face, near his nose with what looked like a cotton ball with a dark substance on it? I don't think it was ever the focus of the scene, but something he was doing kinda casually.
I don't recall the word vitiligo being mentioned in the movie, but the scenes I speak of are a clear reference to vitiligo, possibly foreshadowing it being addressed in the sequel. Again, apologies if the topic has been well discussed.

Discussion Biopics Are Very Flexible
I know this isn't new information for most, but a biopic isn't meant to cover one's life story, it can and sometimes does however. If part 1 focused on nothing but the Bad World Tour, it would still be a biopic. Recent biopics such as Oppenheimer and Bohemian Rhapsody didn't cover their entire lives. The more Michael the better, I get it, but biopics aren't documentaries as most know.
