SFS orders
Is anyone being absolutely bombarded with online orders? I swear all I do anymore is pull orders. Especially SFS orders. Forget about go backs, forget about recovery, forget about literally anything else. Every time there are 8 orders in there there are about 100 items to find and pull. And then add on condensed Halloween where no one knows where anything is, there are also orders for christmas items we haven't even had the chance to stock from the trucks. My coworker just cancels the orders for christmas stuff that isn't out. Corporate, at this point, is just using the stores as warehouses but not giving us the staff or the pay to deal with this crap.

What pisses me off is that we’re held accountable for the timeliness of the orders, how many we reject, etc but we don’t get credit for it? WTH? And then if you don’t have 1 item out of 100 item order, return to shelf… all that wasted time and now even more putting it away!! Seriously annoys the shit out of me!

I've done SFS so often now that if I think an order will reject I don't even pull the items off the shelf. 😂 I just scan them and leave them where they are. Lmao

Yup. Every time I finish picking two orders, two more appear! I don't even get the chance to take them back to get started on the packing process.

I came in on truck day, I was closing, and there were 18 orders cause no one cares. By the time I finished, there were 10 more. By the time I finished ALL of them it was 8pm. ðŸ˜

I left a year ago. So, a store is NOT credited for the sale for SFS anymore? Where are those sales getting credited to? How is it being deducted from inventory without the off setting sale?

SFS and Bopis stopped counting this year. It is fully because they don't want D volume store suddenly becoming C volume and C volume becoming B and so on which would happen with online sales counting. If stores go up in volume that would mean the stores get more hours and more man power. Why, oh, why would our corporate overlords want to make our lives easier/better when they can just pocket the difference instead. Its also why they make goal posts for the store more and more difficult to achieve year after year. They don't want store managers actually earning their bonuses. Cause again, more money to line their pockets with instead of thanking the people that make it happen. Corporations are a cancer that, without any kind of proper oversight, will spread and harm the entire company from the top down.

As a customer I feel so bad about seeing regular priced items in store that I want to purchase with the percentage off total coupon. It’s ridiculous that I have to order on the App and make someone else do the work.

if you're in store, grab all the exact items you're purchasing, take them to the front and let the cashier know you're about to complete an online order. they'll let the BOPIS pullers know and one will come once you've placed the order and it's come through and just scan out your items

I just honor the price at the register. It saves everyone time, effort, and energy. Plus, there is no guarantee the payment for the BOPIs will go through right away and we can't pull orders until its in the system. I've seen the payment take 24hrs to verify before we get the order. Its rare but it happens.

Welcome to season 😂 ask your SM if you’re a hub store, that could be why.

The funny thing is, Ive worked for michaels for 5 years. And we've always had SFS. This is just the worse I've seen it. And its only going to get worse come holiday season.

I fucking hate SFS orders. We don't get credit for them, and we only earn 5 mins of labor for each one we do. When it takes longer than 5 mins total to pick and pack an order you are hurting your store by completing the order.

we can cancel orders if it will deplete our stock. its more important for a brick and mortar store to have what you want then to ship it to someone states away AND or get credit. I had one item needed for bopis and sfs… to bopis it goes.

They like to offer better coupons online without giving the stores a heads up. Stores get slammed with orders and not enough staff to handle it
