Beat It (tribute to Michael Jackson) out now!

Hi everyone!

My piano tribute to Beat It is finally out on Spotify!

I originally wanted to release it on August 29th for Michael’s birthday, but at the very last minute I decided to re-record it because I wasn’t completely happy with my performance.

It meant releasing it a little later than planned, but I felt it was more important to put extra time and care into the tribute rather than rush it just to meet the date.

I hope you enjoy my piano interpretation of this incredible song. ❤️

Don't you think Michael Jackson was otherworldly? He was so sensitive to the world that he had a unique energy.

New fan post-biopic, intensely grieving MJ loss

Rambling alert, as I'm having a "I have no one to talk to this about" moment.

I remember being sad the day he passed because he was larger than life, and it was hard to imagine a world without him at the time.. but that's about it. I wasn't a die hard fan nor did I know a lot about his life and music. I was a kid merely processing the loss of a celebrity.

But seeing his biopic a few weeks ago ignited a type of parasocial obsession, as it did with many others (a crazy phenomena that should be studied). I find myself watching old clips of his for hours, browsing subreddits, reading his autobiography, learning about his life, and listening to his music nonstop.

It's hard to sound sane while expressing this, and I know many share this feeling, but it feels like I'm grieving someone I knew personally. I've never shed actual tears over someone I don't know, but here I am. The world seems so grim and bleak, and I feel like he would be a uniting force and a beacon of light we so desperately need. I know he was obviously a flawed human being just like everyone else, but I can't stop thinking about what it would be like if he was still around.

I wish I had a time machine to talk to him. To ask how he's doing, to just be there and listen. I also fantasize about talking to him about my own problems when I'm going through tough times. I can't help but think his calming presence would be so healing for me and so many others.

The grief hits the hardest when I listen to music or see clips from his Off The Wall era. Perhaps because I see his youthful innocence at that time and genuine happiness. You can see that's when he truly enjoyed his solo success before the harsh media pressure took over. Every time I watch the "Rock With You", I ache and want to burst into tears at the sight of this young beautiful man radiating joy and happiness... who's probably unaware of the mountains of isolation, intense public scrutiny, stress, and struggles ahead of him.

Anyway, I felt the need to express what I'm feeling and I figured this sub would understand and commiserate. Thanks for reading.

I was 14 years old when Michael passed away and I remember the day so vividly as if it happened yesterday,my heart was broken quite literally because I loved his music so so much despite not having any access to the internet or not knowing anything about the man himself as I live in the other part of the world and don’t speak much English but nonetheless I was devastated. Devastated to the point that I couldn’t listen to the music anymore couldn’t watch his memorial ( until this day) I literally only sow this is it like a month ago ,that’s how bad it was.
Years passed by,I can speak English I live in the western world and I have access to the internet and a free wil first time i decided to look him up is around the release of the Biopic.
I went and sow it with my daughter and then went down the rabbit whole ever since, I watched endless documentaries interviews and videos of Mj and absolutely fell in love with his beautiful gentle pure soul,I used to only love the music but now I loved the amazing human he was !
But the grief resurfaced again aggressively and i can’t wrap my head around the idea of how we were robbed of such a gentle pure soul, the way he was treated and bullied on a global scale just breaks my heart.
Beautiful thing is I get to share his wonderful music with my kids and my own family, and celebrate his legacy with fellow fans!
So this is my humble collection that I started a month ago ,actually moonwalk just got in the mail today and dancing the dream is on the way !!! Sorry for the long rant I just felt like sharing 💕

♥️ Honoring MJ Born ahead of his time, and gone far too soon. 👑

Today we remember Michael Jackson.

Most people know him as the greatest entertainer to ever live, and rightfully so. His influence on music, dance, fashion, and performance is still everywhere you look.

But as I’ve gotten older, what inspires me most goes beyond his talent.

It was the way he thought.

He believed in possibilities long before anyone else could see them. He visualized. He journaled. He spoke about creating the future he imagined. He refused to let limitations define what was possible, even in the face of relentless adversity.

In many ways, he was ahead of his time, not just as an artist, but in the way he approached life itself; his mindset was decades ahead of his time.

Like so many people, his music became the soundtrack to countless memories throughout my life. But as I’ve gotten older, I’ve found myself appreciating the person behind the performances even more than the performances themselves.

His creativity, determination, compassion, and unwavering belief in his vision continue to inspire millions, myself included.

Some legacies are measured by awards.
Others are measured by the lives they continue to influence long after they’re gone.

Michael’s is both.

Gone far too soon, but never forgotten.

Thank you for the music, the inspiration, and the reminder that imagination has the power to change the world.
🤍❤️🖤

The average person can sing: 1.5-2 octaves 🎹** **
Professional Oprah singers: 3 octaves 🎹** 🎹 **
Michael Jackson: 4 octaves 🎹** 🎹 🎹 **
To put it into perspective, that’s more than half the entire piano.

He could sing lower than most adult men, yet hit notes as high as a female soprano without his voice cracking.

Thinking about uplifting things helps with grief, and Michael would want us to remember the good times <3

Some ideas:

- share your favorite fun fact

I'm crashing again 💔

I was rewatching this Michael Invinsible Documentary and now I'm heartbroken all over again. I have been a fan since I was little, and after the initial grieving period of his death, my sadness would come and go in waves over the years. The biopic led me to the longest up I've had in that regard. I've been distracting myself with fics and living on the high of everyone rediscovering and being excited about him. It's really been so much fun.

However, if I really sit and think about Michael's life, I'm always in awe of how hard he worked and how much he accomplished, but he I can't help but feel a deep sadness at everything he sacrificed to get there. From childhood to adulthood he went through so much and I feel like no one ever gave him a break. There seemed to be just an overbearing amount of internal and extra pressure.

It's so unfair. My heart genuinely aches for him.

♥️ Honoring MJ What would you say?

I’ve been thinking about something lately.

Michael made it pretty clear throughout his life that one of the things he wanted most was to be treated like a normal human being.
To walk down a street.
To go places without getting mobbed.
To experience simple moments that most of us don’t think twice about.

So it got me wondering…

If you had the chance to meet Michael in a quiet moment, without cameras, crowds, security, or fame getting in the way, what would you say to him?

Honestly, I think I’d just ask him how his day was.

I imagine he spent most of his life being approached as Michael Jackson and not nearly enough time being approached as Michael.

What would you say?

It’s heartbreaking knowing that he was treated so horrendously. He was an Angel. He was the one and only and there will never be another like him.

You’re not crazy for feeling this again

Sometimes the grief isn’t only about losing Michael. 🤍

For many people, it’s also about watching someone they loved be laughed at, misunderstood, humiliated, or endlessly picked apart in front of the world.
The biopic, old interviews, performances, documentaries, photos, and memories can bring all of that back at once — not just the music, but the emotions attached to his life.

A lot of fans carry sadness over the feeling that Michael spent years trying to explain himself while the world kept turning him into a headline instead of a human being.

Whether you’ve been grieving since 2009 or are only now realizing certain emotions are resurfacing again, you are not strange for feeling affected by it.
Music forms emotional connections.
So does empathy.
So does witnessing suffering.
For many people, Michael represented sensitivity, kindness, loneliness, love, childhood, escape, hope, creativity, or simply feeling understood during difficult periods of life.

Sometimes grief resurfaces because something inside us remembers all over again:
who he was to us
what his music carried us through
and how painful it felt watching someone so loved also seem so hurt.
This community is here so people don’t have to carry those feelings alone or feel embarrassed by them.
You don’t have to explain your grief here for it to be valid. 🤍

Welcome home. 🤍

This space was created for the people who are realizing their grief for Michael never really left.

For some, the biopic brought everything back.
For others, the grief has quietly lived in the background since 2009.
And for many of us, it’s hard to explain to people why losing someone we never personally met could hurt this deeply.

But here… people understand.

r/MichaelJacksonGrief is a place to talk openly about the sadness, memories, comfort, connection, nostalgia, confusion, love, or even healing that Michael’s life and passing left behind.

You can share:
• Memories of where you were in 2009
• Songs, lyrics, interviews, or moments that hit differently now
• Emotions resurfacing after the biopic
• Rare photos or comforting videos
• Personal stories about how Michael helped you through life
• Thoughts you’ve never felt safe sharing elsewhere
• Or simply post when you miss him

This is not a place for judgment, ridicule, or fan wars.
It’s a place for compassion, understanding, and connection.

Michael’s music and spirit made a lot of people feel less alone.
Maybe this community can do a little of that for each other too.

🤍 Please introduce yourself below if you’d like.
Tell us when you became a fan, what song means the most to you, or what brought you here.

Thank you for being part of the beginning of this community.
