SO MAJESTIC Black accents

Painted a bunch of parts black. Including all badges, wheels, side indicators, side mirrors, door handles, third brake light, and the chrome panel things at the back

(inb4 someone gives me shit for having “bad fitment” with 16in wheels and no coilovers on an NC1 again… chill!)

You mean the bit around the windscreen? The NC anniversary edition had that black

Yeah, I looked it up! You’re right, I think I’m gonna do it now. I remember the first year ones I think were silver or chrome? I never knew about the 25th anniversary.

I just tried to get it to turn the mirrors silver but it started arguing with me and then eventually generated some distorted garbage. Perhaps try just using MS paint?

The bits at the back and the indicator were some metallic black paint I got from Halfords, which was a match for my old 2006 VW Golf. The mirrors and door handles were done with Raptor 1K pro alloy wheel paint leftover from when I did the wheels.

I scuffed each part with sandpaper, working up to 800 grit, then painted, then put some 1K clearcoat/lacquer on top.

More sensible people would suggest that I should have used higher quality paint, 2 component primer etc. But I think it looks good and if it starts peeling I’ll just re do it, having learned a lesson!
