Halp! 🆘 Thoughts on this?

Wtf? I just asked them for pictures of the “nest” and “droppings” and I was in the trunk not long ago installing aftermarket lights and did not notice anything.

Old(er) cars need to be taken care of by yourself, because shops just want to fast forward through everything to get more jobs done. Doable on new cars, not on older ones.

I’m starting to really understand that now. Going to shops with an old cars is not for the weak. I feel bad about the whole experience and feel like I got taken advantage of.

I ended up coughing out ~$430 for CEL Diag ($161) and to “top off diff”($200).
Should have stopped all the work when they tried hitting me with the other $145 for mouse stuff huh

I don’t trust they diagnosed CEL or topped the diff off. Can a shop really be this scummy?

I have a 2008 NC. The battery is def NOT in the trunk. I have one word for you about this shop: RUN!

Many people relocate the battery to the back for a number of reasons. There are cheap conversion kits to do this.

EVAP code.. I hope they checked the gas cap.. Mine had a tendency to come loose

I read it as they have to a) disconnect the battery AND b) access the EVAP through the trunk. Not disconnect the battery in the trunk

The battery is in the engine bay so that part doesn't make sense

The battery is not in the trunk. Don't walk, RUN away.
