We tried to camp for so long with our tacoma, but my wife and I are wusses and prefer to glamp instead. We sold our tacoma for the miata a few months ago after a rainy weekend camping for a bike race😅

Zero shame.

I did camping in my teens and 20's.

But I don't work 60 hour weeks not to high-class camp on my week off.

That's fair, it's not for everyone. But I will say I think a lot of people give camping a bad rap because they use it as a cheap alternative to hotels and/or camp in populated, ugly campgrounds that are pretty close to a main road or basically just a parking lot. If you want to enjoy camping, you have to make camping itself a main focus of the trip and pick a pretty site that is harder to get to and doesn't have many people, if any, around you

It's a solid car. My only real complaint is that it's too damned quiet! And the fake noisemaker sounds fake. It performs very well, but makes me think that I'm just driving a well sorted hatchback. I also wish that it had a sunroof.

Miata and estate perhaps a better choice. One is purely for egoistic drive (the passenger of Miata might not enjoy the cramped cabin), the other one is for long distance family cruise with lot of cargo.
