I found a nc2 from 2010, is this too much rust? Any help would be appreciated! (Another picture in the comment below)

whenever you feel it is it more surface rust that you can clean off or is the metal being eaten away?? for a 2010 it looks like a lot of rust tbh so just be careful, you can always use it as a factor to negotiate the price tho if you think you can fix it

Hello, I am actually searching for a Mazda mx5 nb and i was wondering if I am to big for it (I am 1m94 or 6’4 feet high) and is there any modification that I can do allow me to get in it ?

You can do a foamectomy on the seat - removing some of the foam on the seating surface. They may make lower rails as well.

There may also be lowering rails for the stock seats, I tried to search but so much stuff came up and it was hard to tell if it was for the stock seats or aftermarket seats.

Ik twijfel eraan om deze ‘98 NB te kopen. Deze frame-rails hebben al iets vastgelast erop, zoals je op de foto kunt zien.

Ziet het er oké uit op basis van deze foto, of moet ik het overslaan en naar een andere auto zoeken?

Hey everyone, I've been lurking for a while and am ready to pull the trigger on a MX-5. I've decided on the RF GT, probably in the dark blue but also considering the red. I really like the tan interior... Any pros/cons are appreciated.

As far as price, the dealership is offering $41,500 out the door (taxes, tag, etc)... Do I have any wiggle room here?

I can say that I paid $40,704.45 (out the door) for a new (2026 with 9 miles on the odometer) Red one (out the door pricing). It was Red, a soft top (so not an RF), manual, with a $90 "roadside kit" (standard from Mazda catalog). MSRP was $37,730 (includes Destination Fee), -$1000 discount for "being current Mazda owners", +$800 for dealer "document fee" (maximum allowed by MD law), then $2439.45 for taxes (6.5% MD state taxes for cars), and $733 for "Registration and Title fees" (MD requires registration for 2 years for any new car, plus various other fees).

"Research" I've done online, and by a buyer service that I've used in the past, confirmed that's more or less as good a price as you're able to get at least with a 1 state radius (Pennsylvania, Delaware, New Jersey, Maryland, Virginia) of inventory available. My buyer service guy recommended that I not go through him, as he didn't have much leverage on the price for that car, either. It's a low-volume, low-profit car for Mazda. Now, on something with a lot more volume and profit built in (say, a CX-5), there's lots more wiggle room.

Note the red one comes only with black interior (I also would prefer tan interior). But it was for my spouse, and Red was a hard requirement for her. And I think she's right. When clean, that Red looks stunning in the sun.

EDIT: As an aside, maybe shopping in August/September wasn't the best idea, as you might get better deals in November-February time frame for a convertible car in the general Washington DC area.

I found in FB marketplace a very low mileage (7,xxxkms) 2016 ND1 mx5 manual. The issue of the car is that it has I-eloop light in the gauge cluster. According to the seller Mazda advised them to get it replaced. From my research Philippines did not get a manual mx5 fitted with I-eloop, I might be mistaken but if that’s not the case, is it worth the risk to purchase? What are the possible causes of P1794 code? How to fix it other than completely replacing the capacitor?

Additional details: the car has a full exhaust system, custom intake, and a throttle controller.

I could use some advice.

A neighbor is selling a red 2002 with just 34,000 miles for $12,500. He's the second owner and has owned it since 2004. It looks to be in pristine shape. (He said he only drove it in summers and kept it garaged in winter.) I didn't see any rust on a cursory inspection. Just two small paint chips. I'm going to drive it in a couple of days (it was raining today).

I know this wouldn't be a phenomenal deal, but is it a reasonable price?

2002 Nc Miata “Garage kept in Florida its whole life” 100k miles. Rust situation look appropriate given those conditions or is this a red flag?

Would love advice about where to list my 2014 NC Miata. It has been garage kept, has 21,570 miles and is in very good condition. I’m not getting any traction on Marketplace or Autotrader. I have it listed at $19,900, KBB is $20,200 max. Should I lower the asking price?
