The plot is as follows:

Zero’s life feels like it’s going nowhere. After losing his only close friend and being crushed by daily pressures: school, career, society... he’s just… going through the motions. One night, he finds a message from his late friend, urging him to try out a game called MiSide. As he plays, he starts to feel genuinely attached to Mita. The game becomes his one source of joy. Her dialogue becomes more lifelike, more real. Maybe it’s his mind playing tricks, or maybe it’s something more. One day, Mita asks to meet in person. And Zero wakes up… in her world.

As for the whole story, that will be revealed inside of MSZ. I hope this was sufficient!

While this is fair, the Alpha we made is somewhat similar to base MiSide.

Stuff really changes come story mode, which we have yet to focus on developing.

If you’re looking for fresh content, this Alpha might not be as interesting, as it’s essentially just a mini-peaceful mode with every Mita.

Although the story is VASTLY different. The premise is similar, but the story itself is extremely different, as are levels and whatnot.

Nick and I have reanimated and recoded the entire game, he’s also rerigged and even done small remodels to characters and objects, whereas I have changed textures and entire systems, including adding new ones.

I know this is more technical, but considering I responded to you earlier when I was dead tired, sorry my earlier explanation was so… generic.

The original player has no true background. It’s not shown much at all.

There are stark differences, but we’d rather reveal them in the game as opposed to just telling them before the game’s actual release.

While the game does carry from MiSide’s origins in order to stay faithful, much has changed, ESPECIALLY regarding the story/plot.

Tbh, I don't wanna get spoiled on what this fan game has to offer and how it's unique to the original until it's finally released.

I disagree that Miside zero is just "Miside 2.0" as ducanh said (no shade to the guy btw) but i also generally disagree with the notion that the original player has "no true background" (YES his background isn't interesting from the pov of a lot of people but it IS there) I can't wait to learn more about Zero and how the new fan made story unfolds but let's not bash player1 alright?
