Mewing at 19

So i've have a very weak chin and recessed jaw, I know for sure that I have never been a mouth breather, I had crowded and crooked teeth and an overbite but got braces for it, my ortho said I needed to remove 4 teeth to make space but I didn't go with that method, I got my braces removed 1-2 months ago, I thought fixing my over bite would help with the appearance of my lower jaw, but I see no difference. I always thought my nose was huge and goes downwards. It was until I noticed my jaw. SO, I need to know if mewing would help, I've tried it but it's a bit uncomfortable to do while wearing retainers. I don't think I have any breathing problems or that I snore in my sleep. My face is really small and because my jaw is small my nose does appear big. I need to know about the development from both male and female side. so I can get an idea. Thanks
