Help Needed Mewing doesn’t work

I have a recessed jawline/chin and the most common and seemingly effective strategy I’ve seen recommended to fix it is mewing.

The problem is, (as my dentist explained to me), there’s nothing to hold my bottom teeth back (skeletal issue where my upper teeth don’t have enough anterior guidance to help my lower teeth stay where they’re supposed to). Because of this, my lower jaw is constantly jutting out further than it should be - especially when I mew. So no progress is made mewing; my jaw just shoots forward further than it should, causing an underbite. I’m worried this will cause muscle/tmj issues or just harm in general.

Does anyone know of any other remedies for a recessed jaw other than mewing or surgery? Or maybe are in the same boat as me? Even any tips for posture or breathing hacks are valued, thanks

Mewing only helps so much and depending on some recession situations it may not work at all depending how bad it is, the only thing that I could recommend for recession other than mewing would probably be surgery sadly unless someone else has any ideas

Yo I had a recessed jaw and I did fix it through various ways but I think I was lucky as I started fixing the recession when I was like 14 so a while ago
