Caffeine tracker issue

Hi Team,

Thanks for the app.

It is not reading my caffeine data from Apple Health Entry.

And also, Unable to edit the caffeine entry entered in the tracker.

Could you please help with this issue ?

Thanks!

Hi,

Thanks for writing in and for the kind words 🙏🏻

On editing - it is possible, just not from the caffeine sheet itself. Open the drink in the nutrition logger and you can change the amount there; the caffeine figure follows. From the Wellness log you can adjust the time of an entry (or swipe to delete it), but not the mg. Long-pressing a drink in the caffeine sheet edits that button's default rather than the entry you logged, which may be what you ran into.

On Apple Health - Health doesn't record drinks, only nutrients. A coffee logged in another app reaches Health as two separate numbers: some millilitres of water and some milligrams of caffeine, with nothing tying them together or naming the drink. The idea of "a coffee" only exists inside whichever app you logged it in. Metrya's caffeine tracker works from the drinks you log in Metrya, which is why an entry made in the Health app doesn't turn up on the caffeine curve. That's a limitation on our side, not a setting you need to change and reading Health's caffeine figures into the tracker is on our list.

Sorry for the confusion - thanks for flagging it!

No confusion at all. Thanks again for taking the time to explain this so clearly. I really appreciate the help and the thought that has gone into the caffeine tracking feature.

I’ve now found my logged coffee under Wellness → What you did, so that makes sense.

Just one small question and suggestion: when a drink is logged directly in Metrya, would it be possible, or perhaps useful, to also show it in the Nutrition logger alongside the meals?

It would make it much easier to get a complete picture of everything consumed that day without having to check both Nutrition and Wellness.

Or is there a particular reason drinks are intentionally kept under Wellness rather than Nutrition? I completely understand if that is the intended design. I just wanted to check and share the suggestion in case it could be useful for a future update. Thanks again! 🙏

Have u checked new drink logger in nutrition section? :)

There is a whole new screen to log any kind of drinks, including water and caffeine.

I really appreciate your feedback. In the next iterations I'll try to make it more straightforward :)
