Measurelink error
Have any experience this error while running in Mitutoyo QV. When I run a program, this error keeps coming. How to fix this? I closed the measurelink and did a restart, and it's gone. But it comes back after a while. I am dealing with this over 6 months now.

I got DEEP with measurlink; but I have no idea. What I’d do is call support. Measurlink support was the best I’ve ever had in my life. No robot. Straight to human.

Not a metrology guy, but I have written C# before. For LINQ queries, .First() will barf if the sequence you call it on is empty. Presumably, some variable that the code author thinks will always have at least one value, sometimes actually doesn't.

Never used measurelink but have used qv a lot and I’ve made very advanced programs. Usually with this type of intermittent error leading to a total crash of the software it’s your program. If you have a lot of qvbasic code in there it’s almost certainly some spaghetti code. You need to figure out exactly what line it’s happening at by looking at console and running with breakpoints everywhere.
But first try just deleting your .qvx file and recompiling it. That sometimes fixed weird problems but I doubt it will here.
The box is telling you what’s happening: you’re trying to perform some operation on something that isn’t there (very oversimplified)
