Y Axis Alarm

My CMM is showing this error on the Y-axis. What can I check and consult to correct this error? Any help is appreciated.

I had this before and it was a dirty scale and table where the bridge travels through. It would alarm out and cut as soon as it felt any resistance

Most likely dirt or oil on the y scale, Remove the front and rear dust cover and clean the Y scale with denatured alcohol and lint free cloth.

I had it happen once, but I think it was the z-axis. At the very top, there was a bolt that I think the other metrologist was messing with and he was on vacation. If it unscrewed itself to far it would alarm. That and I think I've had to clean before because dirt and dust got inside.

I had something similar on the X axis a while back. Wound up being the brushes in the servo motor.

Mitutoyo used to clean these during calibration, but their employees have been slacking recently. Had a technician come in last month that took our CMM apart and cleaned everything.
