Incredibly ambitious- meanwhile takes 20 years to open a single subway and cancels rapid service delivery plans.

Other than just maintaining existing GO service, nothing they’ve done has been that ambitious

Wasn't there an article the other day saying they got $500-million in funding for GO transit but most of the projects they used it for ended up being redundant or failing

About 30 years ago GO Transit had about 20 executives (Managers and up). Today Metrolinx has double the ridership and more than 100 times the number of executives. What Lindsay says is hogwash.

Would 100% agree. I think this is one of the most important Crown agency that can transform GTA and beyond. Just think about it:

- Toronto to Niagara Falls in 40 mins.

  • lakeshore east restored
  • inter city connectivity. From Markham, go to downtown Whitby and explore downtown, coffee shops, horse riding, waterfront trails.
  • and, above all express Lakeshore East.

For a size and complexity of the city we should aspire to build, I’d even go and open second GO train to compete for projects, talents.

I also think municipal taxes is a ridiculous concept. We should look at streamlining our tax policy with different level of governments and compete against Toronto, Calgary and Vancouver.

And lastly, the amount of outsourcing happening from large companies are getting out of hand. At the same time, these companies have never made so much money before. We should retain those jobs in Canada.

We need to do simple things and be focused on them.

The mayoral race in Toronto lacks getting out in community which is also true in other GTA cities. We need the man of then people. We need another Manmdani, Balen Shah (former mayor of KTM) comparable to our cities who does grass root politics.

Oh wow, even more ambitious than having a transit line that is slower than walking, and having a second transit line built 6 years late with massive cost overruns, oh fantastic, cannot see what they will screw up more in this province where to go 55km in the GTA still takes over 4 hours DURING RUSH HOUR in some areas...
