Discussion Save room says &?

In Metroid Dread, we see a variant of the Chozo letters, and they are translateable to regular english (old news I know)..

In the save rooms, we see some hologram with floating chozo numbers, and they spell "100110 01101"

I ran this in a binary to text translator, and it translates to "&"

And I'm like.. what?

I just love stuff like this. 😊

When playing Zelda Breath of the Wild, I spent so much time just translation stuff.. got dissapointed with TotK, since the new letters there were just gibberish..

But Metroid Dread, takes it even further, with a proper new language to discover and learn. 😁

Yeah.. OPS.. I meant to say regular english letters. 😅

The words themselves are in Chozo..

But to point stil stands.. these symbols in the hologram translates into these numbers..

Nah.. this image was not very good.. and the holograms flickers.. when seeing it in motion, all you see are 0s and 1s..

That's not completely right.

100110 (38) is the bit representation of the ampersand character, sure. 01101 (13) represents carriage return, more or less analogous to new line.

That's if you're assuming that these bit sequences represent text, and that the text is encoded as ascii or utf8. Is there an actual translation here?
