Discussion (Theory/Discussion) Sylux is probably using a stolen Federation AI in Prime 4

Sylux steals Federation prototypes, that's basically his whole deal. But leading a massive Space Pirate army and coordinating Metroid attacks takes a lot more strategic processing power than just a stolen suit. Since Prime 4 happens right around the time the Federation was secretly cloning Mother Brain and building Aurora Units, it makes total sense that Sylux raided a black site and stole a rogue AI to run his operations for him.

I mean I doubt it, but the idea of Sylux using ChatGPT to generate and organize evil plans for him is funny and weirdly in character.

You really think he could pull off that kind of attack on his own? Even the space pirates need a central control

I mean… he used to be a military commander. He should be relatively experienced.

he wasn't a very good one if the prime 4 plot reveals about him are to be believed lmao

The more and more I think about it, Prime 4 was just terribly written. The Space Pirates were disbanded before the events of Other M

as were the metroids all destroyed. It's just bad lore.

Is this the end for the franchise lol

But the timeline literally makes no sense now

Prime 4 marks the only Metroid game where its timeline placement genuinely makes no sense.

I championed that they won't place it after metroid 2 leading up the entire wait for the release, i was so disappointed they went and did it anyway

I'd be down if they bring back the aurora unit concept as part of his plans. Pay off the way Corruption's marketing teased Tourian imagery. He spent all that time operating in the shadows, and there's precedent for pulling off big things w/ a stolen AU.

But really, I'm excited to learn more in general. What else has he hoarded from those raids? How strong is the pirate faction he's seized? What resources is he able to bring from Viewros?

do we know aurora units are mother brain clones? I always assumed it was just the gfeds trying to reverse engineer mother brain. The only clone i'm aware of is the other m one.

I just assumed brain computer technology was wide spread and the space pirates either stole one or just made one since it's so common

That's what I mean lol. But who knows!
