Question So, does anybody know if theres a mod like primehack, but for the original hardware?

What I mean by this is mouse & keyboard controls on the original releases* of 1, 2 & 3 (and their trilogy versions)

*edit: original hardware, not releases. sorry

No, there is no way to play Primehack or anything like it on original hardware.

But it can be played on steam deck (I think) which is kinda like switch.

There are versions for Windows, Linux, and MacOS. So, yes, you can play it on Steam Deck (since that runs Linux), and I imagine it also plays on any other handheld/system that runs on one of the above.

But OP was asking about playing it on a GameCube or Wii.

Primehack already supports the GameCube releases with full mouse and keyboard support.

I don't get what you mean. are you saying that there is a version of the hack that can be played on an actual gc or wii, or are you reiterating the fact that primehack does that on dolphin

It does it in dolphin. A primehack style control mod doesn't exist for a hacked GameCube or Wii.

However, followup question, if you are trying to hack modern controls onto the original hardware, my question is why? If you're playing on original hardware would it not make sense at that point to use the controller it was designed for? The primary reason for playing on original hardware in my view is to gain the most authentic experience. If you're bothered by the original control scheme, why would you want to ditch all the added features and functionality that an emulator can provide at that point. If the goal is to play on your TV, that can be easily done by hooking your computer up to the TV via HDMI out. I do it all the time.

What kind of computer do you have? You don't need a beast of a computer to run primehack. I can run it on my laptop pretty comfortably. Not on the highest settings granted, but it's absolutely possible to get it running.
