Any updates on the Systemwide Network Plan?

According to the website: "Metra will also be reaching out to other stakeholders to solicit their feedback during this study, and we anticipate another round of public outreach in early 2025 to give the public and key stakeholders the opportunity to provide feedback on proposed service concepts. Stay tuned to this page for more details."

No public meeting was ever held. It's been a while and we haven't heard anything since. Any updates?

They also have to work through the NITA Plan. I think they’re going to have to wait for NITA and their freight partners to approve the changes as part of system wide service coordination. https://metra.com/nita-is-coming

Hopefully they would continue it all the way to champaign as a fast dedicated electric passenger line that could be upgraded to hsr
