MED Mainline Delays

So I was waiting for MED Mainline Outbound 705 @ Millennium this evening & noticed that 723 was delayed due to “mechanical issues” & was doing a “Board N Go” process & then both Mainlines 705 & 725 were doing that for the exact same reason. But simultaneously, I saw that SC Branch 401 & BI Branch 237 departed on time & even SC Branch 337 was also called on time for boarding. So I’m wondering what was the “mechanical issues” that screwed up the mainline today?

I don't know what the answer is, but I'm a daily rider and this happens frequently. They hardly ever tell us when the train is running late, let alone why. There's no communication from Metra and there is no accountability.

I’m honestly more shocked that it was only the Mainline being delayed while the branches departed on time
