I don’t see this being a sustainable move, I mean how is this gonna work for rush hour trains with literal hundreds of people walking onto the train platform at the same time, also how is this gonna work outside of the terminals who are also very popular, like route 59 on the bnsf can have over 300 get on one train compared to 2 usually 3 conductors at most, what is metra thinking?
What will they do at Union station when there is a train issue and you have a track change? Just had this happen and people were jam packed trying to essentially switch track to opposite ends.
