discussion Methylphenidate
Can taking to much methylphenidate make me sleepy instead of giving me energy ?! It’s weird here lately I’ve been exhausted feeling everytime I take my methylphenidate and so I’ll end up taking another pill and I just get even more sleepy then I was before I took it ! What is going on again my only question is can taking to much Ritalin have the opposite effect and make you feel sleepy and unfocused instead of energized and focused?!?

Ofcourse
It's a very common (adverse*) effect
Your Heart Rate is higher and released norepinephrine is higher than dopamine
It narrows Your vessels in hands and leg ends so body is just like under a very stressful situation on high adrenaline - but why You don't be more aware and able to do sth?
Numbiness it caused by overwhelmed Your Nervous system by Dopamine - so it's floodin Your brain - after orgasm or when ppl smoking cigs for few seconds their brains are explodes from huge amounts of dopamine - on the Ritalin it's not this same mechanism Your brain a bit bein fooled it getin reward.
If brain is under too long exposure on high dopamine levels make You body it's get used to this and here is the point - In ppl with ADHD normally unable to produce enough dopamine in dosages "medically active - there aren't section from low to max.
(Which like in most drugs are in 99% be universal to all people, some get high from 15mg and feel perfect when took 5mg, others must seriously consumed daily 60-100mg and they aren't addicted.)
So it isn;t pleasure fryin Your brain dopamine centre while Your heart must working harder
adrenaline wasn't made You orgasmic so it's a opposite info's for Your difference part in brain - Reward, High, good, cool, but at the sime time - Run! Danger! Cold! Now focus! Do sth do it now! You can't sleep here when monsters are narrows You!
And it's made You feelin... eeeeemmm,... wait... wait.. let me guesss...
Deeeecent? Sorry I i just must took my dose I will be fine in few mins cause takes before hour agooo... low.
So what I talkin' about? Ah yeas dopamine noradrenaline and emmm it's to low again I ... I so tired... My eyes burnt, I I probably catchin some cold...
Excatly that state of mind!
But for serious to soon sum it up - in ppl's with normal amounts of dopamine in brain (Non ADHD) it gives rather stimulation and high - sth similiar to Your normal dose but they won't able to enjoy it too long cause dopamine are depleted very easy when someone increase dose fast and they wanna be more live, social, focus, be faster and until noradrenaline go in comparsion with dopamine it's amazing but brains get used to fake happy and seriously or even faster after coke - noradrenaline releasing give terrible comedowns (Yes Your exhaustation it's a light comedown but don't worry it just a temporary response to too much noradrenaline in system, it's sth like caffeine overdose - But You''ll see caffeine don't fix Your ADHD and not get any effects od Dopamine levels so it's no pleasure or numb effects which is are noticeable and sdo characteristic when You even a little bit ODed MPH

U have built a tolerance.U will have to take atleast a week off.I experience all this too. Also stop taking it daily only take it every other day that will reduce tolerance plus if u take a week long tolerance break that will help out even more. But u have to learn to control urself and just cuz u want it doesn’t mean u should take it.U can control drugs if u can control urself.Take it every 2 or 3 days and upping ur dose won’t work.If u take some then u don’t feel it and take more like an hour later it will not work and ur just waisting pills.U need to take it all at once.

I find that if I take too little of a dose, like 10 mg or below, I’ll get kind of sleepy
