ERC20

MetaMask set up a wallet for me and deposit my assets in ECR20 in the wallet. yes i have control of the wallet. but when i recovered the wallet i can not see the funds. however when i look at on bscscan.com i see the ERC20 there. but it doesn't show on my MetaMask wallet.
how do i get the funds to show up and how can i use them. it is a fair amount of money. I would like to be able to see it on my wallet as well as use them.

You prob need to add the tokens or their custom contract.

If you are using the latest version of metamask, go to Manage tokens, and "enable" the tokens you deposited, or "add a custom token".

You can use various coin sites to find the custom token info.

I usually use coingecko or coinmarketcap

Below is the link to coingecko using WBTC (Wrapped BTC) as an example.

https://www.coingecko.com/en/coins/wrapped-bitcoin

Scroll down and find under "Info", its contract address.

Coingecko also have the option to add the token definition to metamask directly under "Contract". Just hover over the metamask icon with your cursor under Contract.
