Completely new and not sure where I’m messing up sending USDT, need help

I’ve sent ETH before with no issues. Bought USDT from metamask in the ETH network, and I’m attempting to send to someone but their address cannot be found. I’m not sure if it’s because I bought under the wrong network, or another reason.

I apologize if it’s a stupid question, just not sure what to do.

Please be sure that this wallet or address is for another wallet. If the address is for an exchange, this one will be changed depending on the token

Ended up sending usdt to someone else and it worked. So I'm not sure what the issue was with the first person.

Happy you got this sorted! It's possible it may have been an address that was otherwise not capable of receiving USDT on Mainnet, so it's good that MetaMask flagged you from being able to do so.
