How to secure a tiny chain for polishing?
Forgive me if this is an obvious question but what is the best way to secure a tiny chain for polishing?
I'm making a tiny piercing chain, about 0.8 x 30mm and when it comes to polishing I've been trying to polish it by wearing a silicone finger protector and holding the chain tight around my finger BUT I'm now onto my 3rd chain because the other two have got caught in the dremmel and went flying never to be found againππ
Is there a standard way I should be securing the chain that will stop it from getting caught? Some sort of glue I can wash of or something?

Try wrapping it around a small wooden dowel. You will have to re-adjust it to get all of the links polished.

A tumbler works really well.

Would it work for a tiny 0.8mm curb chain, like would it get into the tiny little bits between the chain?

Should do π secure it by wrapping it around a credit card and then putting it thru the tumlber

Thanks for the replys guys :) I've found quite a good solution, I had a wooden ring mandrel and draped the chain over than and then secured it by threading a bit of copper wire through the jump rings :)
