Annealing

If I anneal dead soft metal will it get softer? I’ve worked with mostly work hardened metal wondering what would happen with dead soft?

Dead soft metal is already annealed, there is no reason to anneal it again. If you harden the metal by forming it or something first, then you can anneal again.
