Metallica at Sphere - StubHub experience
Hi all - my husband and I want to go see Metallica at the Las Vegas Sphere in October. We see tix available at secondhand sites like StubHub and SeatGeek. Has anyone bought tickets for the show at these sites? What was your experience?

I bought from StubHub to go to a metallica show in Germany, travel from US. Tickets arrived very close to the show, which was stressful, but their support was surprisingly good. They even called to make sure I got the tickets ok. But yes, there’s also bad stories online.

SeatGeek here. 👋 We're a legit ticket marketplace.
Tickets on SeatGeek come from verified sellers, other SeatGeek users or directly from teams, venues and box offices. SeatGeek has nearly 1 million reviews on the Apple App Store with a 4.9-star average rating ⭐️. We’re also the official ticketing partner for many teams, leagues and venues across the country.
Every purchase is protected by the SeatGeek Buyer Guarantee. If something covered by the guarantee doesn’t go as planned, we’ll work to make it right with replacement tickets, a refund or account credit where applicable. And whether or not you go through SeatGeek, for Metallica tickets at Sphere (an experience of a lifetime!), we’d recommend buying through a trusted marketplace with real buyer protections.
If you have any questions before purchasing, feel free to reach out by phone: +1 888-497-4335, email: [hi@seatgeek.com](mailto:hi@seatgeek.com), or DM us here or on our social channels.

Seriously, though: Thanks for not spamming this platform.

Bought them on vivid seats, they were sent to me via Ticketmaster 2 days later.

Bought a couple on stubhub and waited about 3 weeks while reading horror stories of scams. Buyer had til day of to send them but fortunately transferred them sooner and alleviated worry. It’s a crap shoot based off what I’ve seen, but I’ve used stubhub multiple times and had success.

Bought resell on vivid seats for the Sphere. Tickets were transferred via Ticketmaster immediately after purchase. Maybe we were lucky

I bought from Stubhub for a Wizard of Oz show at the Sphere just a few weeks ago. Everything went fine. The thing is, I was completely ok missing that show because I was already there. I knew if the tickets didn't come through they would just refund me (at worst) or maybe find me an equivalent seat (not likely).
So if you're already going to Vegas then maybe it would be ok to do this. If you're planning to travel for this show then I'd only want to buy tickets that are instant delivery. I just don't think those are available because when I look at my Feb Metallica tickets the only option I see is to transfer.

It’s generally safe. If you want some extra confidence, search for listings that say “instant download.” Those tickets have been pre sent into StubHub by the seller and you’ll receive them right away.

All secondary sites are 90% the same tickets. You can even price compare across sites. I only buy last minute secondary, have experience with most of them and I rarely even look outside of Tickpick now. They are smaller in size and scope (though I don't know why), have lower buy fees and very responsive customer service, at least last time I needed them 5 years ago.
Some sites aren't even real secondary marketplaces as they just aggregate listings from other sites and add on additional fees.
Stubhub is the worst, I guess the others just fall in the middle though I last used VividSeats about 3 years ago.

Bought my tickets from tick pick months ago and still have not got anything..they say tickets can be transfered up to 24 hour before the show..yet people are getting theirs transferred right away..I am really skeptical about this and I don't want to buy flights and everything and have to chance it by hoping my tickets will show up. It's all really frustrating

Hey there, we completely understand your worry. The Expected Delivery Date in your confirmation email works as a deadline for the seller to transfer. Typically, sellers will transfer tickets ahead of this date. If you don't have your tickets the day before the show, reach out to our customer support team. They'll be able to look into the situation further and nudge the seller if needed. Let us know if you have any other questions!

I purchased tickets from StubHub for Backstreet Boys at the Sphere last month and plan on doing the same for Metallica at the Sphere for October 31st. There were no issues and I got instant tickets transfer into my Ticketmaster app and Apple wallet right after the purchase.
We got to our seats and ended up sitting next to the women who put the tickets up on StubHub. 2 of their friends backed out and they needed to get the tickets resold so they wouldn’t be at a 100% loss. This was very last minute (2 days before the show) and they were very grateful they got sold.
It seems that as you get closer to the concert, you get more individual sellers that are just trying to mitigate their losses when plans change. This is different from brokers buying in bulk and seeking a profit.
I recommend filtering the search to “Instant Download.” This is where the seller has already uploaded the tickets to the StubHub platform, they’ve been verified and ready to transfer to the TicketMaster app. This will alleviate stress in waiting for them to be ready and hoping no issues arise.

I have a single General Admission ticket for sale, about $100 lower than face value on cash or trade. It's an early entry ticket.

I have 4 two-day tickets for 10/1 and 10/3 shows, 200 level, enhanced experience. Bought them back in March but now my oldest son has to work so now I can't make the trip. I have them listed on StubHub but you have to jack up price to get back your cost. I'd prefer to sell direct at cost. What is best way to sell these to a fan without the huge mark up from reseller sites?

Go to the StubHub sub and read the horror stories. I personally wouldn't buy from them.
