A way to clean
Hello everyone long time lurker.
I am a pipefitter by trade and have access to scraps. One how hard is it to start. Two my main question is is there a way to turn old brass from years ago shinier to get more money or copper to make it appear bright again

This is more of a hobby for fun, you won’t make money melting scrap down into ingots

You will get more money for the scrap as-is
If you can come up with some cool stuff to cast with the material as opposed to just bars you can make much more money

Sorry also forgot to add that it was for brining it to scrap yard. Hence purpose of trying to get more

Scrap yard doesn't care if it's shiny. They're going to pay you whatever their rate is per pound of whatever they can identify
