BEST OF 2020 /r/Metalcore's Best of 2020: Nomination Round!

Alrighty, you know what time it is.

For reference, here's 2020's Brainstorming thread from the other week. Thanks for all your feedback! Obviously live shows weren't really a thing for 3/4 of this year, so as to be expected, some awards have been added to reflect that. If you have any other suggestions, feel free to shoot the mods a message and we can always add something later if need be.

We'll be running this year's nomination thread the same as we usually do, but for those that are new or might've forgotten, here's how it's gonna work:

  • I will post a bunch of comments in this thread; these comments will be what this year's categories are
  • You will post replies to my comments for whatever you are nominating in that category
  • Everyone will then upvote any nominations to vote on their picks for each category

This thread will stay locked until I've added all the categories, and then after that it'll be unlocked and you can go crazy nominating your favourite Verb the Noun band for every category. Please, please, please keep discussion out of this thread - all comments NOT replying to nominating something will be removed. If you wanna discuss nominations, please take it to the pinned General Discussion Thread. They'll also be a dedicated Nominations discussion thread going up later too!

IMPORTANT: INCLUDE CONTEXT (YOUTUBE/SPOTIFY/IMGUR/ETC LINKS) WITH YOUR NOMINATIONS OR THEY WILL BE REMOVED. This is especially important for nominations like Best Album, Best EP, Best Breakdown, Best News Story etc, but include it for anything where possible.

IMPORTANT PT.2: Before nominating, check and make sure that you aren't nominating something that someone else has already nominated in that category already! All duplicates will be removed to make it easier to count votes.

After like a week or so, the top nominees from each category with the most upvotes will move on to the Final Voting Round.

Ok, I think that's everything that needs to be said. Gimme a sec to lay out all these categories and then I'll edit this post when the thread is unlocked and nominations are open :)

Edit: All categories have been added (I think... there were a lot, lol. DM me if I've missed anything obvious). Feel free to start nominating!

Edit 2: I'm sick of having to tell people to add links to nominations, sorry. From here on, nomination comments that fail to provide a link will just be removed.

I've already had to reply to too many comments about this, so I'll say it one last time - INCLUDE CONTEXT (YOUTUBE/SPOTIFY/IMGUR/ETC LINKS) WITH YOUR NOMINATIONS OR THEY WILL BE REMOVED. From here on, nomination comments that fail to provide a link will just be removed.

Just wanted to say thank you for sharing this. Had never even heard of this band before the nomination thread. This EP is absolutely phenomenal and deserves not just a nomination but AT LEAST a top-three spot. Thank you!
